2nd hand tank, good or bad?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Found a tank! 2nd hand and so far from the pix looks quite good! Will be going to take him home tomorrow!

150x50x50 - so not massive, but a decent size I think...

Will post up pix once all set up to say thank to all of you who advised!

2 of my 3 tanks are 2nd hand - and I love them (:

I have three second hand tanks. Paid a fraction of what a new one would have cost. It's kind of like a new car vs. a used car. You can pay the new car price and drive it off the lot with an instant depreciation or buy a used one that will still work and won't depreciate as fast.

Yeah I found the exact tank that I wanted for the price that I wanted... only downside was that I had to drive out to the middle of no where to get it and the light plug things I am having some issues with. But nothing major, just went out to buy some new lights and it should all be fine.

Otherwise I am very very happy :) Came with two filters and everything so seemed like a steal :)

I like it when you get more than you bargained for ; p

Like some extra gravel maybe, or dechlorinator. All the little things...they help (:

Yeah the seller was very generous to be honest.

Gave me a bunch of rocks and sand as well. All of which he had preboiled for me so I wouldn't need to do anything.
