In Australia rap is not that big, or listened by many. But I grew up listening to pac. And have not come across any artist that comes close. Rap is starting to be more popular here, so em would be more popular as most young people (not me I'm 27, as I said rap is only gaining exposure now) would not of been exposed to pac. I like a few em songs but pac is just another for me personally. He just has that raw passion and conviction that can give goosebumps when listening to it) the guy was a genius. A lot of his newer (I know) stuff is not as good as older stuff but what he accomplished in his short career. Movies, songs, shows, tv appearances, jail time etc. You just can't do that in that space of time anymore.

Also I guess over here, as I said we are not as exposed to the 'scene' (cannot stand much aussie rap) but I havent found much modern rappers even tolerable. Would not consider most of them as artists, half of it just sounds the same. If you want someone with good lyrics currently I can't go past common market.

Just an outsiders opinion based on music.

No offense to those who do, but I don't listen to rap. And you can't spell crap without rap. :grinno:

Not tryna be funny or anything cuz everyone has their own taste in music. But wats the point of posting in here if you dont like rap, and this thread is about rap music. I listen to everything except country, so if there was a thread about country music/artists, you wouldnt even see me posting in it, since I dont listen to it.....#jussaying

That last part was more of a joke, that's why I put the little smiley. Some rap is ok, but most is just crap. And country is my favorite music. :D

i think they have totally different styles and it's hard to compare the two

but em is the better lyricist

i like them both, so my vote is for bacon

this is like comparing wilt chamberlain to micheal jordan and saying who's the best basketball player, both are great in their own ways. pointless thread. it just comes down to personal taste.

that's because country has been commercialized just like when people argue about what's real hip hop

All in my opinion. Just stating it, and I have a right to. :D You also have a right to troll me, but....Eh.

Country = bleh.
Rap = Blehbleh.
Hip hop = BLEHBLEHBLEHBLEH. (except HU, but thats like...in between rap and hip hop and....two wrongs make a right.
Heavy rock...Its where its at. :D
