2rays death in 2 weeks WHAT IS WRONG :'(

hey all

in just 2 weeks my 2 orbigny's are death
i don't know why

in the last 2 weeks i have change my set-up
-new sand
-new plants (plastic)
-they are not death by the stress and handfeed them always (clean hands)
-my 3 motoro's are still living nice and happy
-every saturday i do a 40% waterchange
-temperature 27 graden
-nitrit ZERO
-PH 7

i don't know what to do
only thing i know for sure is waiting when the next ray is death
please help me !!!! and sorry for my bad english !

could be the fact that you changed the sand. the old sand contains a lot of bacteria, which, released in the watercolomn, will be harmfull for the fish. as you changed everything, this might be one of the reasons.

Did you test for ammonia and nitrate levels? those parameters are very important.
Were these newly acquired rays or long time captives that are eating regularly?

hey,

the parameters are all perfect

the rays were very healthy and also eat very good
they were for more then 6months in my tank

I do at more than 100% or at least 100% over the course of a week with water changes.
Rays create a lot of waste and are very sensitive to changes in water parameters. Sorry for the loss man.

i do about 80% water changes in a week with my ray also....sorry bout your ray!

what kinda filtration did you have?
