My wife is letting me have a little shopping spree since taxes are here :headbang2
i've looked at a bit of threads regarding the eheim 2080 just wanted some input regarding it.
Tank size 240g current filtration 1 fluval 405, 1 marineland mag, 1 emp 400, and 1 penguin 350.
What I want to run is just 2 eheim 2080s and the other filters can go to my other tanks.
Will the 2 eheims be enough filtration?
Stock are gars 2/aros 2/dats 7/rays 3/oscars 2
thanks ahead of time for the input!! :)

A pair of 2080s is a heck of a lot of money for a pair of filters that combined will turn your tank over less than 2.5 times an hour. Their pump rated at 1700lph max is about 70% efficient so combined they'll be pumping about 2380lph. They're excellent filters no doubt but they don't move a great deal of water.
I think there are better options available for a lot less money.

like an FX5

I would go with 2 eheim 2262's over the 2080's

thats just overkill... 1 eheim 2262 is already a monster.
And the price!!!! OMG the price!!!

i agree the 2080 is low flow.on my 210 i have 1 eheim 2262 (bio),1 FX5 (mech) and 1 penn plax 1000 full of just cotton,floss and polishing pads running threw a 25watt UV.i would deff go with a 2262 or FX5 over a 2080.

I take back what I have said now .... Thank you hao for messing up my train of thought on this one ... 2 Eheim 2262's or a sump I have no knowledge base regarding sumps but hao has enlightened me regarding them.... All inputs welcome and appreciated

I say 1 FX5 and 1 2262
