3.000 litre kiddie pool!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
nicely done, but dont you worry about the RTC piercing the pool liner?

Any updates? How are things going? Are you getting lots of growth since putting everyone in the pool?

1. Transporting Aros. You were pretty lucky those silvers didn't jump out when you were netting them. The usual recommendation is to drain the water and to use plastic bags instead of nets. Although you have a MONSTER net, I love it!

2. Water Clarity. I suggest you look at improving your filtration as your water is very cloudy. How are you parameters and how are you doing water changes?

3. RBP. I strongly suggest that you remove that Pacu out of the pond. One small nibble from those naughty teeth and you get a very wet floor. Especially since you have no additional liner. I also agree that there is a very real danger of the RTC fins might stab the liner in a moment of panic.

I really hope for the best for you, but you are living on the edge bro.

BTW, can you repost your pictures or check your photobucket account, all the pictures are unviewable.

the arows transfer was one of the best i ever made and everything went just perfect!
:)

I gave the water this ''blackwater'' effect and i love it!!:grinno:
althought the video isn't filmed with a scuba camera thats why the quality is to low...i put my original cam in a plastic bucket to film!:grinno:
My parameters are very well and the water isn't cloudy...just pure blackwater!!
My nitrite are 0,nitrate about 10-15,ammonia absolute 0 and my ph is 6,8.

I really love the pacu.
I had bad experiences with these kind of fish in my tank, but i love his attitude in the pond!

I also really think that the INTEX liner isn't thin to hard by a fish.Imagine that little kids are playing in these pools....:naughty::grinno:

I see what you mean and you're truely right.I already start looking for something bigger so i don't think that i'm gonna keep this pool for ever.
I also put some woods in there and i can say that i more worry for them to scrach the liner than the RTC!:irked:
...but i wanna make a nice biotope, with plants, woods and everything...i'm working on it..
:headbang2
I had serrius problem with my photobucket account and i lost all of my pics.:irked:
I really don't know what to do, may be i'll post them all from the begging in a new thread.Just need some free time to do it.

Anyway things are going very well now as we have a very hot summer here. The outside temp reaches 43-45 C, and i have a nice tropical water in about 26-27 C without use nothing (cool or heat).
Althought i think i must make somethig stronger for the winter cause things here are very diferent and the cold makes temp to reach 0 C in winter.I'm working on it...i'm thinking something with boiler.....;)

Some pics soon.:)
