looks good! decrease your aperture (larger f-stop number) to get the whole fish in focus, but you'll need a lot more light. :)

thanks... im saving up money to buy a wireless flash and a macro lens, any recommendations? btw im using a Nikon d3000 and the mode the picture was taken in was the Macro Setting.

i'm still using the kit lens with my D40, so i can only go off what ive heard! since youre in the same boat as me and your camera doesnt have an internal focus motor, you have to stick with the af-s lenses which mean a lot more $$$$ since we cant use the older AF-D lenses. well you could, but you'd have to focus the shot by hand.

anyway, i'd go with one of these if youre looking for a good high speed lens:

- 50mm f/1.4 af-s, $500ish
- 60mm f/2.8 af-s, $550ish
- 105mm f/2.8 af-s, $800+

i want to eventually get the 105mm since you can do so much with it, like awesome macro photography.

as for flashes, an SB-600 is great, these go for about $225 new. i just picked up an sb-600 and the su-800 wireless transmitter.

you wont be able to use the speedlights wirelessly on your camera. you have a few options:

- hotshoe extension cable, $20+ for a 10ft cable on fleabay
- generic wireless transmitter, $40+. but you lose all TTL metering with these transmitters
- su-800, made by nikon, works awesome, keeps all ttl metering, $250

my D40 with the su-800/sb-600. this thing is awesome!
