What are the dimensions on the tank? It doesn't look like a 220 since it's wider than it is tall.

This is the part where you go pick up the tank before one of us digs it up based on your post lol.
Did you use water to keep the diamond hole saw cool when you drilled? I am going to have to drill three holes and currently I only have one bit to do it.
I find thick glass easier to drill than thin, less chance if cracking.
if you make a template, and use a diamond coated hole saw drill bit, with lots of water, and it only takes a few moments.

Ya I'm thinking the holes are bigger too. Thanks. The dimensions are a custom 220. 72x30 wide x24 high

Do you know if a slower or faster rpm drill is best when drilling the tank?
I use a standard Home Depot hand held electric drill, nothing fancy.

Mine came from glassholes. It only cost about $15 for a 3" one. The one JEHMCO sells cost a lot more but are supposed to be much better. I ran the drill at about half speed once I got going. The deeper you get into the glass on that 3/4" the more likely you are to get in a bind. That was why I went slow. The picture Duane's showed with the hose running would be the way to go. I had my wife pouring water from a jug.
I plan on doing it in my driveway with the hose running over it so hopefully that will keep the bit in good shape.
