3/4" drains for a 220?

Holy hell! I drilled a 3" hole through glass. It took over an hour and the bit was worn out when I was done.

Did you use water to keep the diamond hole saw cool when you drilled? I am going to have to drill three holes and currently I only have one bit to do it.
 
I use a standard Home Depot hand held electric drill, nothing fancy.
Start slow, and increase speed, as the groove deepens. Got my diamond bit from Jehmco, have used it on about 8-10 tanks so far.
 
Mine came from glassholes. It only cost about $15 for a 3" one. The one JEHMCO sells cost a lot more but are supposed to be much better. I ran the drill at about half speed once I got going. The deeper you get into the glass on that 3/4" the more likely you are to get in a bind. That was why I went slow. The picture Duane's showed with the hose running would be the way to go. I had my wife pouring water from a jug.
