I'd say two bluegill with a pumpkinseed would fit in a 75g nicely for life.

okay awsome... now... how to identify the pumpkinseed? i live in minnesota so alot of sunfish around here... but dunno how to know its a pumpkinseed

Bluegill and pumpkinseed look similar in body shape, but a pumpkinseed is alot more colorful. I don't know how to describe the color really but a pumpkinseed will be checkered pattern on its body. I'd just use google images and compare the two.

alright thanks for the help... I should be able to catch one fairly easy with a nightcrawler i would imagine...

If you are not sure of the fish you caught just post a pic and somebody is bound to ID it for you.

Good luck finding a pumpkinseed!

I had a eight inch pet Bluegill who loved in a 75 gallon fish tank with four large seven inch Godfish and a Bullhead Catfish. The Bluegill many picked out a section of the tank that was his and didn't let any other fish near it.

Now the Bluegill wasn't the trouble maker the Bull Head Catfish is the fish that is the trouble maker in that it when it reaches eight inches long will go out and attack the Bluegills and the Godfish.

But I did have my Bluegills and Goldfish live for ten years.
