any chance there is a recent water source change ...as in untreated chlorine.... that's the only thing that I can think of that hasn't been covered

Not very, 1/2 to 3/4 tops. It's sandblasting sand.

Nope I tested the water again today and it's the same, and I did lose one more today, past few days I've been doing 50% changes along with the drip. not black diamond just home depot white stuff that was labeled sand blasting sand. but its been in there over a year I dont think that would all of a sudden be the culprit.

well the horror seems to have stopped. total death count is 13.... and just like that its over. I still don't know what happened or why but it just stopped. I guess ill just keep up on daily manual water changes for the next week and see what happens...
