3 Eels and some other fish compatibility

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've had fish tanks in the past but just the standard setup nothing I really put money into like this. I will start doing weekly water changes and see about putting more plants in my tank. Do live plants need special lights to survive or do normal led lights do just fine? I've always stayed away from live plants because I was under the impression they require special lighting to grow much at all...

Go to walmart or home depot and get Pothos plants (labeled as either pothos or golden ivy or something silly like that, google a pic first) and remove the dirt from the roots and hang just the roots in the tank water. pothos would grow in a dry cave 400 feet below the surface so lights not super important for it, just make sure it gets a bit of light here and there.

one perc to your highly over stocked tank, is the skittish fish will be less skittish, like other said the tire track will come out of hiding, or escape and die, or just die. Really depends on your tank cover and parameters.

I've had spinny eels disappear for months. i had a tire track vanish, never figured out what happend, just disappeared in a 300 gallon, then had a peacock that would disappear in a 55g and then just randomly show up one day. Like I had completely changed the stock and decoration and everything on that tank, thought he was gone, just to appear one day swimming around.
