3 jars 3 silvers in one tank?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
At best your 240cm tank would be good for only two or three of those aros once they are large, 60 plus cms.

i think units r in cm, not inches (hes in new zealand so metric system),

dam i thought when bderick did the calculation he did it in inches, but even in cm its a freakin 3000g tank.

not looking to upgrade tank anytime soon.
so if it cant be housed on that size tank, then i probably wont go for it.
so the width of my tanik is not deep enough for 3 jars 3 silvers?
or 3 jars 2 silvers?

I keep two 70cm silvers and a 60cm black aros together in my 450g. The tank is 244cm long x 92cm wide x 76cm high. IMO this tank is at it's limits, though I do plan on adding another black aro in a few months. I may have to move the silver pair eventually.

To do the stock you suggested I would say at least 244cm long and 122cm wide. If you could go 90cm high it could provide two separate levels of swimming area. Of coarse even this size tank may be too small for all to live peacefully.

Once they mature, the jars could have a chance of still picking on the silvers. But I'm not saying don't do it. I think it looks good to mix both those aros

seems most disrecommend it lol so prob wotn do it
ill see, gotta sell a fish to fund the aro comm:D

but most people say tank is too small, and i cant get a bigger one
