The maximum size of the temensis is shown as 30", I have personally caught them larger or is this aquarium size? Also I am not sure it is the 2nd largest I have seen very large fish and heard stories of very big fish being caught by the locals.

That 30" is aquarium size and the Temensis is the second largest cichlid. The largest is the emperor cichlid.
