Poor discus, did you get it for free? Cause I have no Idea why you would be wasteing your money like that.

and the winner is? ........well its clearly not you :screwy:
Whatever your reason for doing this is, its flawed.

actually before anyone gets mad but they prolly wont cause this is mfk.. but i am actually trying to cohab the elong and rpb. my discus was in bad shape and i new he prolly wasnt going to last another day so i threw him in there for distraction when the rbp and elong were feeling each other out.. right now there sitting side by side.. and there both young ps so maybe just maybe they can work out in the long run.. have to just wait and see.

That makes more sense; kind of. I still think the elong is going to kill them both.

It'll all end in with only one fish alive. The two might last a while, but one will kill the other.

A elong is serrasalmus elongata, the elogate piranha.
Focker, I see a couple problems with this,
First, why was the discus in such bad shape, I ask because it is not a good idea to feed sick fish to other fish.
Second, although I am assuming you only have the one tank for the two piranha, the elongs have a history of not accepting other species of piranha as roomies. Now that might be one way to get rid of an excess rpb but I have seen an rpb being eaten by other rpbs that managed to get in one solid bite on the way out, the fish bitten also died, be a pain to lose the elong that way, eh? Then you end up with an empty tank.
As far as using rpbs and discus as feeders, if they are excess, why not. People use red devils, convicts, and even snakeheads as feeders when that is what is surplus.
