I would not want to die by the following:

A knife - stabbed, sliced, whatever... it freakes me out to think of what that might feel like... I imagine it would kinda feel like when you accidently cut yourself with glass... *quivers* NO!

A stranger, or whomever for that matter...

People often believe death by natural causes or they died in their sleep is painless. Every death is going to be very painful for several seconds at least. Even deaths that happen in hospitals where the person is all medicated will be pain, they just can't feel it becasue they are on drugs. There's really no such thing as dying peacefully in your sleep. That's just something people say to make themselves feel better. People just can't bare the thought of the last moments of a loved one being in agony and suffering but that's exactly what happen. Better just to accept death no matter how it happens.

Sad, but true! How it comes to an end doesn't matter, because you're dead! You won't feel it. Only the living ones (family, friends) feel it. It's not like those who died in their sleep can tell you how painful they suffered before they died, so you can only assume they died peacefully.

if i was to list a 4 and 5 i'd say cancer and a fatal fall from a certain height

i guess pretty much anything where you'll suffer before dying. i heard death from poisoning is a painful death as well. i'd wanna die in my sleep.

We generally have no choice in how we die...there are very few cultures where suicide is acceptable. For me, there are a few things worse then death. If I was in an accident, and had a choice between death and surviving as a quadraplegic, I would choose death, but again, I would not have that choice.

it's not the dying that scares me, it's just the thought of being dead, it just seems so final.

Sudden cardiac arrest or a well placed gunshot that I wasn't expecting would be my preferred ways to go.
