I can't help but to comment again on your elongate little missile! It's really looking great! I especially like the right hand facing picture you included in your post. I love the picture showing its mouth open. I do have one question for you. When you bought your elongate, was it "tame" and recognized you as its source of food, or was it shy and withdrawn for a period of time after you introduced it to its new environment? Also, does it have and show the nose rubbing on the glass when it wants food , like some cichlids do? I have wanted to own one of these little rockets for 25+ years, but haven't "pulled the trigger" and purchased one yet. I hope you continue to have good luck with your piranha. I hope to read your response to my abovementioned question soon. Thanks again.

Hey thanks for all the replies guys.

When I first got him he was very active. Would swim all over and attack his reflection and go right after food. Now that he has been in there for a bit, he usually stays under the piece of drift wood when the lights are on. When the lights go out he can be found roaming the tank. I tried switching to an actinic bulb to see if it is maybe a bit duller for him but it didnt seem to make a difference. I feed him frozen silversides every other day. He will bite chunks out of it when I drop it in and finish them up overnight. If I happen to miss a day feeding he shows more aggression such as going after his reflection. Overall a pretty cool fish
