30 gal. setup

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i agree with guppy with the african knives..........i have them in my 30 gallon and like them a lot.......very active knives with a lot of personality........if not i agree with a shoal of exodons that would be awsome......

:D I've got 2 30 gals...one with what i already suggested...Exodons (amazing agressive shoaling fish), and a couple cory as well as what you stated that you are interested in below, a show type tank with a couple show pieces in it................I got a huge gold sevrum and a smaller red shouldered sevrum and a couple cory in that tank....An idea!!;)

throw a nice piece of malasian drift wood inthat thank w blk gravel or sand and you'll be set...it'll really show the contrast of the sev's!!

Mine is 7-8'' and he is very close to max ...so in other words good for a 30 gal!! he can turn with plenty of room to spare..................I would just suggest overfiltrate.....I run an emperor 400 on my 30.....you could try a ac 110 or even a cannister if you dont like the emps!!:D :)

i was looking at a bloody parrot cichlid also. what do you guys think of those? i havent seen many severums around my area si finding one now may be difficult. unless i ordered it.

Blood Parrots IMO would get too big for a 30. What part of PA are you in?

im in central pa. i decided to go with a gold gourami, a blue gourami, and a turquoise gourami. they also had a clown knife about 4-5". do you think he would be an ok tankmate for my 13" florida gar. or is that a bad idea?

How big is the tank?

the gar thank is a 75 gal. and the gourami tank is a 30 gal. and w/ the gar i wiil be upgrading the tank size by at least double in the not to distant future.
