30 gal

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
What about a pair of red zebras? they only grow to about 4 inches vivid color not too aggressive and you could still have room for a fancy small bred pleco

your opinions on this setup would be great cause i think this is what i was thinking of going with.

could also consider laetacara . . . a 30G would definitely accomodate them well, especially if you go with a planted tank

I vote for Sajica

dont sajicas reach about 5.5 inches? 2 of those wouldnt that be over stocking according to some of the other posts ive read?

i mean i was under the assumtption that a general rule of thumb is inch per gallon. Ive never tested that and stayed way under but right now i have 14 inches of fish in a 30 gallon and ive been told its bio load is too much already.

You could definitely get a pair of angelfish in a tank of that size, or maybe try some apistogrammas.

^ i agree thats what i am doing.

The 1" per gallon rule is an old wives tale. It does not apply, especially with Cichlids.

I think Rainbows would be nice. I also like a small group of Keyholes but they are not neccesarily colorful.

I can highly recomend Australoheros Oblongum (fish in my avatar), but I dont think they are available in Canada. Australoheros Red Ceibal are from Spencer, but they might be too aggresive.
