30 gallon octagon or 29 gallon??

go for the 29 it has a bigger foot print also watch that fire mouth doesn't get beaten
 
it could work but i'm saying just watch them most likely the firemouth will hold its own but it might get a little ragged if you introduce them young theres a good chance it would work
 
my firemouth beats the **** outta both my pairs of convicts, i dunno, my male firemouth is crazy, beats on everything, but the likelyhood is that the convicts will take over the tank.
 
convicts will own the tank but don't worry the FM will hold his own i mean its not like your trying to breed the convicts so the FM can be in the same tank and he will be fine. but i wanna know what you are doing now? are you getting another tank soon? and doing this with it? fill me in

that is how my male is right now, sold his female partner but still hes mean as hell and teh only thing that can calm him now is my pink female con
