I have a 30gallon (long) with on small Pleco(2'') and 1/2inch Convict in it now. What other fish could I SAFELY add with no major problems?

I would loose the pleco if it's a common, they get over a foot long. Trade it for something smaller like a rubberlip or bushynose. For other fish you could try a hardy species of tetra like Buenos Aires tetra, or blind cave tetras...those are sweet. There are a few catfish you could try, maybe the larger cory species or smaller doradids. Then there are cichlids like firemouths or other similer sized species.

Thanks Sandtiiger I had thr Cichlids tank years ago and ended up with a funky Texas/Convict cichlid cross. I may try the tetras and catfish. Thanks! Happy fishig!!!

Since you already have one convict, I would buy a few more and get a pair so you can breed them! I take it you've already bred cichlids once, why not try again w/ a different species?

I've done it with a pair Convicts and a Texas cichlid/Convict cichlid(not on purpose). I want a nice group of fish.

a school of cories, some tetras. maybe some glassfish of somekind. a small pleco, bushynose are good, maybe a pair, they breed easy (provide cave).

Neon Tetras, Serpae Tetras, Chichilds, Rasboras, Gouramies, etc.
