What do you mean by "nice fish?" A community tank, or something more "unusual", or something to breed?

Thanks everyone for the info. FISHER 12889 when I said a "nice fish" I was talking about a community fish, but I don't want the Convict to kick it's ass across the tank. Nothing rare or super high-dollar, but a few cool fish to put in the mix with the Convict. I will get a Bushy-nose pleco and may 5-10 neons. ????????????????? Yes, a community tank with a Convict in it.

The convict might kill the neons, maybe something a little bigger than neons, or if your set on them get rid of the convict.

I've been keeping con's for a couple of months.They didn't seem aggressive until I added a male.Maybe try a crayfish but buy smaller than your pleco.Mine killed my 3" pleco but when i bought a 5" the crayfish seems scared of it.

Thats true, they buy those died fish that live for 5 minutes in their tanks lol

I would atleast get rid of the common pleco and maybe replace it with a different type that wont get so big. An L191 or smaller panaque would be fine in there if you plan on keeping the convict.
