hi i just joined this community and i actually have had convicts for about 2 years now i have a 55 gallon tank with a 29 gallon and a 10 gallon i have 2 jack dempsy couple africans about 10 or more convicts only 2 are striped rest albino and 3 red devils i had 6 red devils but the big male i got killed the other except 2 females but when he picked 1 female started getting really aggressive and then i notced there were fry i ackted quick and seperated all the other fish into a diff tank because it would be to hrd to get them all and the parents when they are all swimming around now i got the pair in the 55 themselves with some sucker fish there is like 30 maybe 40 or more fry idk how many will make it but i like them o and btw the convicts are not good with anything but cichlids i put 2 babys in my live bearer tank before ended up killing all the killie fish i had in there:(

ummm if you read right im getting rid of all my tanks besides the 29 im gunna buy for 10 bux from a friend.... and its gunna be mega overfiltered by a magnum 350.....

Not that I know anything, but is massively over filtering the tank going to lower stress levels in the tank? I would think stress could be a problem with that scenario.
