Its a real fish but thats not a goldfish its a carp.

1. it's almost certainly real
2. it's a carp
3. it's not as big as the picture portrays - the person holding it likely has his arms outstretched and the distance from the camera to the fish makes the fish look much larger in relation to the guy.

Goldfish do not have barbels.....

It is a koi (which is a carp).

yup wild carp, which looks totally real. i'm still undecided if the guy in the pic is actually holding this exact fish

color is definitely real. ive seen plenty of red/orange carp in the wild. they really do look like monster goldfish in the water lol.
