You should use titanium. See if you can get some scrap left over from the Challenger.
 
you skin that thing with plywood and it will be rock solid

Yeah, just make it press fit after you put most or all the water in the tank or you may never get it back out. Just food for thought.
Sometimes it's just easier to see things from over here. ;)
 
Like turnbuckles or screwing a sheet of plywood on without glue :thumbsup: I was thinking that you wanted to have a hinged door there; my bad. For servicing, I am sure it would be more convienent to have doors on the front. :footinmou

BTW, it is mostly aircraft grade aluminum

Ask nicely, and I might gank some from the Explorer (decommisioned non-flight vehicle sitting in front of KSC.)

I will have doors on the front to service the filter. I'll make them as small as possible to keep the maximum amount of plywood for structure:thumbsup:

I'll probably go with the big solid plywood end that I can remove. (but i'll glue the rest)
