I hear everyone say about 24 inches being not wide enough, but I also know my bass will grow out of this tank & I will need another in a couple years. So for me, I like the fish having some depth, especially since this is not their permanent tank. I'd rather have some height for them to swim up & down and create more space in the water column. I think it creates an ability to let different fish live differently. Just a little explanation of my thinkin'.

Sounds like your gonna have to build a new tank. This one's cool and all but the dims dont really make it a bass tank. Good to hear your going bigger. Cant wait to see the next build.
