Do the motoro on the bottom, discus mid, and the black aro on top. That would be a beautiful setup.

If you do this mix you will have a fat ray and no discis

The ray will eat the discus and a 300 gal is to small for a adult motoro

No one can say for sure what will work and what won't

One thing I have noticed is if you mix the aro from young with lot of other types of fish you will be able to mix it with a larger variety of fish when the aro gets larger

I have mixed different adult aros size 24 inch + with fish as small as 6 inch with no problems

I reckon U should have the black aro top motoro stingray and fire eel that would be nuts!!

Anything that has a more passive temperament would be fine such as Cichla,Rays,Bichirs,Discus,Silver Dollars,Plecos,Medium size cats such as Tigs and Juruense. Pretty much anything that does not like to pick on fish will be fine, I vote no to Cichlids since I've had some major issues with compatibility.

I know a 300 gal sounds like a massive tank and it is for some fish but I had a 16 inch disk p14 in a 350 gal and if the ray got any bigger it would have been cruel to keep it in that tank for much longer

The tank had gravel and nothing else the ray was born in the tank and after 2 years it need a new tank so I would say the motoro would be ok in a 300 gal for 1.5 years as motoro get much bigger than p14
