300 gallon deal or no deal ?

Yeah it's a bad deal, give me his number and I'll drop him a line to tell him what a bad person he is............
 
I saw that tank on craigslist. you have to be carefull because he mentioned that the tank it bowing in the front and the back. This could mean the tank was put together poorly and it could crack or break.

All Acrylic tanks bow a little, that's the nature of the material. If it's 30" deep then 3/4" acrylic is correct if it's deeper than 30" then 1" thick acrylic is correct. I'm taking into account this is a 300 and there's only a few normally accepted dimensional possibilities? If it's a weird shaped tank then throw this advice out the window :)

If the guy built it himself and used 1/2" acrylic for 300 gallons then I would be skeptical.

Most 300's are 24" tall, I know mine is. 1/2" acryllic is just fine for ANY size tank 24" tall
