Absolutely AWESOME thread here man...
Questions, where did you get your aqua controller from? And hows your experience been with it? easy enough to understand? Worth the money?

Thanks man! I got mine from premium aquatics. My experience with it is still very limited. I decided to just set it up, make sure it worked and it's going to be my august project. It's so deep with what it's capable of, I wanted to dive in slowly. Every outlet on the strip is individually programmable complete with timers. It should be alot of fun setting it up. Then to able to program seasonal lighting and temp variations could be really cool.....

Another busy day........toys!!

Hello John! Your aquarium is jaw-dropping! :headbang2

I'm wondering what do you call the gadgets on the first picture?

And also how big are those pipes in diameter?

I just wanna have a little education! :)

Thanks man! The gadgets are the Aquacontroller interface, display and energy bars. Its basically a computer interface for everything on my tank. Once online, all programming and control functions are accessed from my laptop or my iphone. From anywhere in the world. It emails me when it does things to the tank.

The drains are 1 1/2" and the returns are 1". 2 main drains, 2 backup drains and 2 returns

That is so cool! I didn't know that! WOW! Thanks a lot!!! OK. I'll put that in my shopping list.

And one more thing...(kindda shy to ask)...why is there a small fan inside your stand? Is it for temperature reason (for the equipment)? Wouldn't that bring some evaporation?

Its definately for temp reasons. Living in Orlando, I battle heat most of the year. Im in the process of adding another fan on the opposite side. I get some evaporation, but being able to lower my tank temp a few degrees during the summer is worth it. And once i get an auto changer setup up through the aquacontroller, evaporation will take care of itself as the tank will constantly top itself off

Thats gonna be a nice project gettin all the electronics hooked up with timers on them. And the auto-water changer will definatly be a big help!
