Well, thank you for sharing & you better not stop! :D

How much you love & care for the fish is perfectly represented by the tank as a whole. By looking at it, I can't even imagine how much you do and this is what amazes me the most.

I have a lot of respect for you :clap

Well thank you for saying so, but youd be suprised how little I really have to do with this setup. I really spend about 10 min or so a week changing filter socks and other than a water change once a week while I'm watching the football games, I really just feed them and sit back and enjoy. It's my largest and easiest setup to maintain.

Lol, that's really cool. It's probably so easy to maintain since there was a lot of planning into it, otherwise it would be a mess wouldn't it?

^^absolutley. I spent a lot of time planning and replanning the setup many times before the tank ever showed up. I did several dry runs and even a few wet ones in the bathtub so there were no surprises once the build started. All tweaks and adjustments were made ahead of time, so when the actual build started, it just kind of fell in to place.

My wife was shocked at how quickly the build went, but having ocd and having to wait for the tank to be built has certain advantages. The only thing I wish I wish I could change or do differently is and auto-drip system or auto-water change system. The location of this tank is literally in the middle of our house and it's on a slab. Supply is not a major issue, but the drain situation sill has me stumped. No outside walls and I can't go down, so I can't take advantage of gravity much at all. I have to go up and I have to cross one of 2 walkways/hallways, or I have to run drain line around 2 or 3 walls of our office, which we are not too excited about.

Other than that, not much I would change at all. Cant wait to build another......

Well, looking forward to updates when they all grow up and definitely your future projects :D

The auto drip would just make in even better, but not necessary imo. Why fix something that's not broken right?

Very nice! I'll be doing something similar to my 550,(if I can ever get it painted and what not, haven't found the time :'( ) hopefully it looks as good as yours!

Wow!! 550 would be really cool. I'd love to build something on that scale. Be sure to post lots of pics when you do.

Thanks for the compliments!

The smaller cichlids have since been moved to a 90 in our garage to make space(aka territory) for our Jag and Argentea. Wood has moved around a bit, several times but other than that everyone is just, well.....growing. The only fish not from the Americas is our Rainbow Shark who just celebrated his 7th birthday. he spends most of his day herding the SD's.

Thanks for stopping by!

You can really see that your fish have grown! That festae looks amazing as usual as does everything else that I can see. How about some pics of the other fish up close and personal? Give them a chance in the spot light that I'm sure they deserve!
