300 gallon setup/sump build

Goddies should be arriving this weekend. Ordered the pumps, pond boxes, 100ft of pool vacuum hose so i can do wc out the basement window, and heaters.

Still need to get the sand, more bio, lock line returns and heater controller.... anything im forgetting?

I could be wrong here, but couldn't you have issues getting a canister primed if it's sitting level with the sump?

I should know this thread like the back of my hand since im plagiarizing the hell out of it, but post 38 and 46 he mentions it. Gotta go back and read up later tonigh and see if he ran into any issues

Yeah, I could definitely be wrong. I've never tried it, but just something I thought worth throwing out there. I had never looked at that thread. Just looked through some of it. Doesn't look like he had issues. It did look like the water level in the sump was a touch higher than the top of the canister. Again, not sure if that matters.

What canister filter ur using with the sump?? If eheim it might be hard to prime since water level is higher than ur sump. Unless ur sump is higher than the can motor.

Either do like me. Tee it off from the pump. But I would definitely Tee it for future use like me a UV. I have not been adding new fish so I just close that Tee off my pump pvc.

I have a 2217 but also have some ac110's sittong around. Im gonna try it on my curret sump.
