What would you recomend to stock a 300g tank with,as a very active colorful cray,,im in love with the blacks and whites,,could i do say 3 of each in there would would be an ideal cray display.thanks

Have you checked out the Cherax species of crays? They have some really beautiful stunners in coloration and some tend to get quite a bit larger than North American crays. A 300g would make a stunning cray tank!! The zebras would be the closest I can think of right now.

I can't think of any black and white crays off the top of my head--except for white Procambarus clarkii's.

This is a zebra. Don't know how active they are. I only have one Cherax species cray (not a zebra) and it is a recluse. I understand that mine is a bit of one off though and most cherax species are robust and like to walk about the tanks and are not shy. I guess it just depends upon the individual crayfish.

Iran jaya if u cld fid one it wld be gr8t or a rainbow crayfish!

Also wow a 300 to crays only!! thats CRAzY!!

This is a Cherax sp hoa creek. One of the prettiest crays IMO. I think there is a pair being offered on Aquabid right now.....

BTW: Iran jaya is a place not a cray.

Oh, okay. I didn't know that :). There are so many new crayfish from that region that they are all just probably getting lumped under that moniker.

BTW--my rainbow is very beautiful now when she is in the water. Her colors really pop! The first photo is from when I first got her and she was kinda not pretty. The second photo was here last summer. She has grown a bit!

Wht is the min tank size for a rainbow?

I don't really know. Right now she is in a 10g and is doing great. I put a half of a coconut shell into the tank for her and she pushes that thing all around the tank. Its kind of funny to watch her use the shell as a vehicle. She pokes her head out to look around and then moves while she's inside the shell.

I put some Endlers in there with her and she doesn't bother with the fish at all but I'm sure if one fell into her claws she would eat it. I have a 20L tank for her when she outgrows the 10g. She also prefers to eat lots of different veggies rather than meats/chicken.
