300 gallon tank made out of ¾” acrylic sitting on the main floor above a standard basement.

Unfortunately the floor joists will be running parallel with the tank length and I suspect there will only be 1 floor joint under the tank and stand.

The tank is 24” wide so even with 16” on center joists I can only expect one of these to be under the tank.

The flooring is ¾” oak floor over s standard plywood sub floor. I assume ¾” as well.

Should I be concerned?

Brace the floor. Your looking at approx. 2500lbs of water weight alone, not including tank, stand etc. What is under the floor? Basement? Crawl space? Living area?

Yes you should be concerned. But if it is above a basement can you not reinforce the floor?

I agree, around 2500 pounds of water (not including substrate and decor which can easily add a couple hundred pounds) should be a concern. :)

8lbs a gallon then add the tank weight and stand weight id say close to 4000lb total i have a 300 myself but on a concrete slab

I used a 4x6 layed it across the joists the tank set on and put three basement floor jacks under that. I would use three just to be safe one on each end and one in the middle.
