thats so sick. you should make a feeding vid. love the african pike.

Thanks!

Definetly will in due time. Until they all get thier appetites back 100% it wouldn't be very impressive. They're all still being kinda hit and miss on feedings. Shouldn't be long now though.

second video tht armatus is either the leader of pack or bein chased lol
nice setup !!!

Very nice the pike seem to be very calm are they always like that?

They seem much calmer in this tank. The growout they were in had very strong current, and was only 18 inches tall with a lowered water level. They hated the current, and the Armatus would chase them occasionally. In the 300 the currents more evenly distributed (spray bars rather than jets), tank is taller, and I put some cover in there for them in the upper part of the tank . Result seems to be a calmer happier group. They still don't appear to be too fond of the Aro though. These guys do seem calmer then the last group I had. I bought the last group as adults and think they were primarly kept alone. I raised this batch with the Aro, and Armatus from the time I got them at a few inches. I did have 1 spaz and injure his eye but didn't see what caused it. I'd guess it to be the group of Golden Dorado that aren't old enough to be gold yet. Lol.

I pulled the 2 biggest Dorado like planned but not before something retaliated. 1 of those 2 Dorado is in the process of checking out. No marks on him but he's swimming loops. Guessing it smashed itself into something. All the fish seem much happier without the Dorado. Cynos are back to swimming instead of sitting and Armatus started eating better.

Good stuff DB.This is what I am woking towards.

Well here's the repercusion. I have mixed feelings about which direction to go with this tank. This Dorado died 2 days later. No bite marks so I'm assuming someone chased him into the side of the tank. Strangely I saw the other Dorado kinda nudging him around as he swam his loops. Don't know how to interprit that.

I don't think it would have been an Odoe or the Aro. Could have been caused by any of the other tankmates though.

I removed the other larger Dorado but it appears the current largest seems to just be taking his place as the tank's tormentor. I guess if aggression becomes apparent I either seperate or suck it up and let them kill eachother. I guess maybe in the typical MFK style I should buy 3 times as many fish and see if that works....... OR maybe I'm just not a true MFKer...... :(

Wouldn't mind hearing others' opinions as to what to do if in my shoes..... Right now I think I'm just gonna let it slide with only the 3 smallest Dorado remaining in the 300.
