300 litre stock ideas

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think we should not be too hard on the guy, I think most of us have been at this stage in the hobby at some point. I know I have been there, just wanting so bad to find a way to keep all the cool fish you find.
So my message to the original poster is sorry about my fellow fishkeepers being a little harsh, but also keep in mind that the answers they gave are true and correct, they have experience and know what they are talking about and are just trying to help you be your best at fishkeeping.

Btw in my opinion (take note: opinion) a 450 liter tank is worth a try with the bgk (at least a few years), ropefish and a bichir (maye just not some of the largest types). But I would recommend to not do the common pleco.

i wouldnt recommend any bichir to be honest. 300 liter isn't a lot. Even the smallest senegalus becomes around 25cm. What is too big in my opinion for 300liter since they are very active for a bichir.

I would atleast take 500liter for an adult senegalus.

I used to have a small monster tank. What do you think about channa's? or butterlyfishes or maybe exodons?
I would especially recommend channa's. A tank with just 1 channa isnt a lot of work and its one of the most fun fishes to have in my opinion. Something like channa bleheri is also really beautiful. The only thing that u need to be aware of is that they need seasons with different temperatures over the year.

Channas are cool but they're banned in the US
