The worst part of the first film was to switch roles between Sparta and Persia. After all Sparta was a tyrannical, perverted slaveholder society. While Persia was the land of freedom, tolerance, equality.

That I didn't mind that, happens all the time, twisting the POV based on who won a conflict. As was said in Braveheart at the begining ... "History is written by those that have hanged heros."
