300 watt Ehiem Jäger horizontal mount?

I can't remember but pretty sure said u have to mount these heaters vertically.. Anyone mount they horizontally? Is it ok ? It's newer model bought last year.. Want to convert a 200 gallon to turtle tank an water will be lower so I need to mount horizontal to be submerged. Thanks Danny

Yes you can mount it horizontally, just make sure it is fully submerged and in a good water flow location.

The horizontal versus vertical positioning was because the seals were only verified as being OK to a certain water depth to reduce the possibility of water entering the heater, maybe not the exact wording but good enough for me.

I read somewhere on the forums that horizontal mount isn't as effective. ofcourse I can't back this claim up.

Theyre fine to mount horizontally just watch the depth like mentioned above. Ive had the same one for a decade, back when they were Ebo-jaegers, running horizontally.
