3000 gal water feature underway!

Been a short while since updating. I've got the entire pond dug to a depth of about a foot. I've started to dig out the location of my bog filter from the large pile of backfill. I'll snap some new pics this evening. Would have been done with the digging by now, but we've had a few large storms rip through the area and the pond is full of water. Just as it is about to evaporate the last few inches, it rains again. Unfortunately, this clay holds in the water pretty good. I've been trying to come up with a way that I can drain it, but to no avail yet. One good thing about the rains is that they have given me a better picture of where I need to regrade the site to keep the drainage working properly.
Stupid rain is still killing me. I haven't been able to do much work in quite a while. I've got it just about leveled out with the berm, but it still sits about 1 foot deep. I wish I could use my pump to pump the water out, but I haven't purchased my pump yet. 
I've also started to dig out the bog filter location, but that has been slow progress as well.
I will TRY to get some pictures up tonight. It's "family fun night" at my daughters school, but I put a note on my Blackberry to get some pics up tonight.
