!/2" gravel over 96"x 24" = 2/3-3/4 cubic feet, that is about a 5g bucket full and dry will weigh around 65-75 pounds.
Depending on grain size loose, drygravel weighs between 95 and 105 pounds per cubic feet, dry sand is 100-110 lbs. per cubic foot.
Pure water weighs 62.4 lbs/cubic foot and seawater is 1.68 lbs. heavier, standard glass is 161 lbs. per cubic foot and I have no idea what acrylic weighs.
If you use gold it is 1204 pounds to the cubic foot, heheh.
 
Your footprint is 16 square feet. The formula is 10 lbs of substrate per square foot based on a 1" coverage. Therefore for your tank at 2" substrate depth you need 320 lbs of substrate.
