Heating help!

Now the only thing that might get me when setting this up is filtration.

Any ideas on cheap filtration under 100$ - please no homemade stuff LoL

Yikes.... For a 300.....

First try Craigs list you may be able to find something used... Otherwise maybe something like 3 or 4 penguin 350s or equivilant they usually run around 35-40 $$. That is a lot of tank for such a short filtration budget.

This is a absolute minimum and most likely not near enuf. I run 2 penguin 350s on my 55. For my DIY build I am looking at 300+- for filtration.

My advice....Save for proper filtration **before** you set up the tank.

well thankfully I just checked eBay for a Fluval FX5 and were looking at 150$! Which I might be able to do for such a great filtration system after looking at some reviews

Wld (1) work? most ppl say go with 2 but as of now tht wld prob be the only thing I cld afford.

Im planning on ordering a 350g Stock Tank from Stockyard Supplies tomm!

Im new to LARGE fish keeping so will see how this goes lol

That FX5 is a good start, what are you stocking?

As far as heating. If your not keeping the tank in your garage, a couple 300 watt heaters will work. One may work if your only heating to the high 70's and your 350 is acrylic and your house temps are in the low 70's

350, after I saw Stockyard Supplies sells cheap, as of stock, im still looking at either 1 or 2 RTC or RTC x

I may try to have it in my house, but I dont know what to throw under it

Any suggestions??
