300g stock risky mix.

Same tank aro at about 18".
I believe head bangers Diplo was wild caught at a larger size.

I know nothing about most of the fish you keep but you mentionax size of some of those fish as 24". To me that seems very big for a 7' tank... So this just seems like a bad idea all around.

Not even 3 times the fish body length to swim across the tank..

Yet we see people say a 4 foot tank is not suitable for a 12" fish (which I agree) that has 4x it's length in swimming room.

Please help me understand why you want to cramp large monster in a 7 foot aquarium?

I see my small 6" festae in my 4 foot tank and think wow she is getting big for this tank (she is going in an 8foot soon enough) which again is 8x her length and she using all if it with very little effort.

Also does it change as a fish gets bigger? I dunno? Seems less of a problem in bigger tanks somehow.
I personally keep a 11" Midas usually in a 4ft 90g and I think he is fine in there.
Depends on the fish type too imo.
2" neon in a 7"*3"*2" tank?
6" Channa in 21"* 9"*6"tank.
12" channa in a 42"*18" *12"tank.
2ft Channa in a 7ft* 3ft*2ft
4ft rtc in a 14ft * 6ft *4fttank
10ft airapama 35ft* 15ft * 10ft tank...

I say try it. You wouldnt know until you give it a shot. No experience with wyckii other than hearing they were nasty.

I had no luck with my lone wolf but i still bet that just a 1 off. Too many members have reported 0 issues with theres

When i was a kid i had to snake heads, i have no idea of they were the same as yours. The were called redline snakeheads. Man they killed every single fish i had.

I think the bufonius wouldnt work with that stock....real ugly fish anyway just send that puppy over to me !

And yes I agree it's very risky, I may scrub the black wolf and see how it goes. Basically it's my current stock as in the pic above plus the wyckii grown up and a decent sized Channa.
We will see how it goes, dividers at the ready:)

Wheres moe214 moe214 ?? I thought this combo would have had a shot in a tank this size. Then again i couldnt get two guppies to get along in a 300 gal lol

Lol I don’t check this section feel like there’s a lot of nonsense and he didn’t tag me correctly so I didn’t see it.

Justarn pretty much knows my answer to this from our pms. I feel it’ll depend on the specimens. He can get a punk of a wolf or a killer, same with wyckii. I feel if he had the specimens I had it’s doable because how long they barely tolerated each other in my 120 both over a foot. Ime with the two, the wyckii started the issues and the wolf finished them but my wolf was slightly larger.
My wyckii when out didn’t bother anyone, it was when they came to his hide the problems started. If I had a longer tank that would have been minimized and would have had less issues. For instance the odoe and wyckii never came into contact. The gold and the wyckii had a quick trade, one bite each once when the wolf went into the hide but he quickly retreated. The gold was mainly at the top with the odoe, so that was the only confrontation they had. I’ll get some of the bad photos up for you to steer you clear if you’d like. But There’s also good photos of peace...

Cheers guys, I understand most wolves can be commed if circumstances are right, presuming you don't get an especially bad one.
I kinda know what I'm getting into with the wyckii, I think avoiding cichlids will help to some degree as the Midas I kept before were constantly battling the wyckii.
I've kept 18"+ redline/giant/micro snakehead in here before although I didn't share it on here due to the backlash. They were all model citizens and never bothered anyone other than snatching food... Ime the Channa I've commed (Diplo/micro/Gachua/pleuro/albino argus) rarely see tankmates as food if they are added last and tankmates arnt bitesized.
If the Channa passes 21" I will likely re-home.
The more I think about it my australis is an awesome fish and I don't really need a curupira.
The smaller spanners might become bitesized so they may need to go but we'll see.
You all know me, if things get out of hand or too big I will sort it out.

It's the things getting out of hand while I'm asleep is what I usually worry about unless the new predatory/aggressive fish I get is the one that I want to be on top, then I don't worry about the other fish.
