300gal. filtration

what i am saying is too much would just be a wet filter right. or flowing to fast to be effective
 
Sorry bro, I was at work earlier. I only have 3x turnover on all of my wet/dry filters and the biological is fine. Mechanical is the only thing that would benefit from a higher rate but I dont have a problem with mine @ 3x.

Here is what I have planned for my 300.

Ocean Clear 317, Ocean Clear 345, Pentair 40watt UV Sterilizer all inline run by a Mag Drive 3600

50 gallon wet/dry sump powered by a Mag Drive 2400.

I dont use any filtration besides the sump on my 265 because it acts as a room divider. I dont want to look at the HOB filters lol.
