Firstly lovely caribe, but your red bellies and their setup rival some of the best i have ever seen.
Congratulations on keeping by stocking rules on the 300, i have seen so many people get tempted to just stuff bigger tanks without care of the general 20 gallon rule. And I see you got a real nice flow of water in that as well! What filtration you got hooked up (i now see a sump, what size)?
thanks man...
yeah, they used to be crammed in a 100gallon, luckely all plans worked out and i finally got this bad boy up and running, they seem to appreciate the extra room, especially the 8" guy 'motorhead'
the sump is a converted 55gallon tank, i filled it with lava rocks for filtration and have the overflow box stuffed with sponges...
also an extra powerhead pump that runs at 500g.p.h to provide current...
the 4 carbia might join them one day... still havent fully decided on that yet...
and @ focker:
yeah man, the caribas are deffintially my fav... it took a bit for them to come out of their shell, but it was worth the wait, i can even fool them with a finger chase every now and then untill they wise up...
cheers man, and thanks once again
