Anubias, Java fern and Java moss, and I have good luck with red ludwigia and moneywort in low-light setups too. I usually just experiment with whatever they have at the store.

I would recommend a florescent bulb above 6000k, and a DIY CO2. http://www.plantedtank.net/articles/DIY-Yeast-CO2/7/

Also plants like iron in the soil, so get some Flourite or Laterite.

thats what i was going to do, if you remeber my thread, but i got to antsy and couldnt find any after what 2 months, so i throw a wolf fish in the tank. but i had black sand, black background, a fake tree stumb and a skull. thought it loked sweet, im going to do that still witht them, once the wolf out grows the 35g, its going to a 55 or 70g, and i will put a human skull( fake) into the tank . and throw 20 exodons on it.

but all black with plants would be super sweet, bring out the green.

my feeders along in the black tank look amzaing lol just becuase of darkness with there bright orange
