30''x16''x24'' - big enough for Brown/Black Knife?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I was thinking of getting a senegal, but I asked on the Polypterus forum and everyone said a tank of my size will not work for any Polypterus. Any other oddballs that will do well with a brown knife? Doesnt have to be african, but thats a plus.

Dunno though, I think the tank would look pretty rad with 3xKnives swimming about. Just wish it was big enough for a senegal.

I think that a 29g would be fine for an Albino Senegal. They always seem to average around 8"

I forgot about that, heard it mentioned before though.
I'll have to give it a try.
1xKnife
1xSen
Maybe some butterflys. Mini oddball tank. :D

Trying to figure out what else to put in there.
Butterflys are nice but not a whole lot of movement from what I've seen.
Looking for predatory/oddball(african is a plus) fish. I was thinking of some type of African cichlid but nothing really comes to mind that wouldnt end up either getting too big for the tank or hurting the knife or poly.

my tank is only 6 in longer and i had a sen, an african knife, and two butterflies and that worked for awhile.

Yeah, but I'm wondering what else would look good in there.
2xKnives
1x Sen.

Like I said, butterflys are cool, but Im looking for something different. I'm looking around on the forums, any have have suggestions?

i think 2 knives and a sen. will be awesome and i also think that it is a sufficient number of fish. i dont think you need any more and it may look crowded in the tank if you add more
