Wow that's a great looking Sturgeon. You don't see many large sturgeon anymore. They usually don't live because people keep them in warm waters.

haha like i am doing :P
yea i dunno in the states i can imagin they rnt too easy to find... but here in holland they sell them in all the garden shops... they are a standard pond fish here
i picked him up for a measly 45 euro... even though it was priced 90... i bargained it down :>
but i dunno hes kinda an experiment... up till now hes been real healthy and the waters at 26-27 degrees celcius...
they say the reason they cant handle warm water is cuz their gills r very inefficient and they need very oxygen rich water... but as you can see oxygen is the least of my worries with those 2 massive pumps

if i notice him slowing down or sumthin i have a pond waitin for him in my moms backyard..

nice diy tank ;)

just had a nightcap will watching my tank... im lovin it :)

I always see the greyish blue sturgeons and diamond sturgeons in the states. I rarely see albinos.

to be honest i prefer the diamonds... but this guy is cool too
he was the only one they had left at the end of the summer (end of pond season) so i managed a good deal...
only ****ty thing is hes practically as blind as a bat... he often swims into things n gets a little stuck n has to wiggle his way loose
