314 gallon FRP plywood tank

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ya there is a 160gallon on the right just out of the picture. I know they are moisture cure, i was thinking about hitting the poly with a spray bottle and also double check my work. This stuff is very sticky thats for sure.

sealant has a thick skin, in the corners a little mushy still, but its real thick there. I tried rubbing a little string of the poly off and it took a real good rub to get that off. Great bond so far. I may or may not put a inch or 2 of water in tmw. I wont go anymore until those corners really get solid. I am excited.

Cool build. I would love to see the finished product. How are you going to filter it?

Filter i dunno. I am very short on time to do anything. I think I am just going to have it pump into a overhead 5 gal bucket then that will flow into my plant tier. Its about the easiest and fastest thing to setup with the time I get.

I decided to put the turtles and their minnow friends into this tank. It would be real hard to move the plant tier and try to catch the big guys. I filled it up to the correct level tonight, so now I have to throw in a divider the snapper cant move, then its ready for them soon.

All the inhabitants are in. I must have 200 baby minnows from that kiddie pool. Ill post pics once I get the plant filtration set up and going.

Glad to hear this one is working out. I thinking this contruction method will appeal to a lot of people. Look forward to more pics.

How's the tank holding up?
