idk taht much about eartheters like geos but i would like to keep them. Im using 2in of filter sand in the tank. its 6ft x 2ft x 4ft, im wondering whats a good species to keep, and what to keep w them. For other fish in the tank i was thinking of 3 pairs of bolivians, bleeding heart tetras, black widow tetras, and panda corries.

i have a 125 gal with geos. I've got 2 orange hump heads, and 4 surinamensis. geos are relatively peaceful cichlids. i've got them with a uaru, banded leporinus, and a small silver arrowana. in my opinion, if you get relatively small geos, you can keep the fish you want to keep with geos. let the small geos grow with the tetras, etc, so they know not to eat the fish when they get bigger. geos, bleeding hearts, pandas, rams, and blackwidows should be fine together. keep us, or at least me, up to date with pics of the tank when you set it up.

yea thanks but i still need to know how many to keep, i relaqly like the bismalli species bt thats not spelled right, so if i keep like 10 or so of them would that be a good number?

more i would say

I would do 3 species ..6 of each species....

Wait, is it 4ft wide or high?

High I think, and I'd add some uaru because they'd be cool with geos. Uaru or chocolates or festivums.

That will be a great tank! Just get whatever species match your water. There are some that need extremely soft & acidic water and some that do better in more neutral (and higher) conditions.

its 4 wide, whats a good three species, i really like bensilli or whatever, and then would a choclate cichlid be too aggressive heard they are pretty mean. But i was looking at like 2 festivusm and 2 severums, and then 3 or 4 pairs of bolivian rams.

a choclate should be fine, but a groupe of uaru in that tank would be stunning !!!!

uara? whats the common name and scientific idk what those are. I was thinking of doing this 10 geo brasiliensis, 6 Acarichthys heckelii, 8 santanoperca jurapari, 3 pairs of bolivian rams, and then some tetras
