I need help choosing fish. I know this is a dead topic but just maybe I will get a few replies.

Tank:
33 gallon
10 gallon DIY wet-dry with 650GPH pump
-I plan to add some low light plants soon

Current stock:
3 - 1.5” Tiger Barbs
3 - 1.5” Silver Dollars

Goal:
To grow out some fish for my 180gallon tank that is in need of some movement!
-180 has a 12” Motoro, 12” Florida Gar, 14” silver Arowana, and is heavily filtered with a sump and 10X turnover an hour.
I want some p-bass but I can’t find small ones here in Columbus, Ohio?

Please help me find some fish!!!!

Looks to me that your 180g is a growout already.

most of those fish in the 180 will out grow that tank very quick.. start looking for a 300 and oyu should be fine... dont get any pbass tell you find a 300. thats just my advise.

Guys, this is a fine stock for a 180g tank. All three of these fish are truly lethargic growers. I think he has room for a few dithers in there.

As for what could be grown out in a 33g that already has community fish in it, that's pretty sketchy. Most of the fish you'd be after would eat the barbs before they were big enough to not be aro food. What species besides Pbass, were you thinking of?

Silver arowana are "truly lethargic growers"

With proper care that aro will continue growing at a rate of 1-1.5" per month. So the aro will have out grown this "grow out" tank within a year. Unless you are of those with the poor opinion that believe an arowana shouldn't have at least a tank that is 3 times it's length long and at least equal it's length wide, minimum.
