Nope, it's a silver. Blacks don't have as deep a body, they are more pointy, and this has drop eye, and not as much colouration on the fins as a black.
Wowzers! It looks like it's been taken care of very well for the past four years. I know I'm not alone when I ask for advice on how to raise such a healthly fish. So please, advise away..
BTW... I'd be scared to move that guy to a bigger tank cuz of the following 3 reasons
!) I dont want that thing to jump out and swallow me whole when I try to bag him, 2) I dont want that thing to jump out and smack me with his tail when I try to bag him, 3) *on a serious note* I hear of so many people losing aro's when they transport them from one tank to another,

i have moved alot of aros and the only one i have lost were babies that still had eggsacks of course when i move them i use mass quantities of water in alarge tub
