I was never that interested with plecos, but I know when you get into the L's they start getting pricy.

i bought this plec in early 90's. cost me arond £17.50 back then. and last month was at my local fishshop (wildwoods - enfeild) sitting on a bogwood was the 'blue eye' 12-14'' and had a £1000!

Sorry for the noob comment but sorta looks like a niger catfish without the catfish face... expensiveee... Where do these live, anyone know?

same with zebra plecs. they now command a £200-300. . . almost extinct in the wild

Blue eyed plecos are VERY hard to come by these days. You're lucky to see one for sale, let alone own one.

YEa the reason that one costed so much was probly its size its hudge!
