$3500.00 PLECO!!!!!!

I never realized Blue Eyed pleco's were that rare... i came across one about 1-2 weeks ago in a shop... it was an albino pleco but with blue eyes... needless to say it came with a high price tag, but nothing near UDS $3500

I don't know if it's still there but Shark Aquarium has a blue eye pleco for 1500

I remember Canadian aquatics had one in stock not to long ago. They were asking $3500 as well. Its a cool looking pleco I think.

i bought this plec in early 90's. cost me arond £17.50 back then. and last month was at my local fishshop (wildwoods - enfeild) sitting on a bogwood was the 'blue eye' 12-14'' and had a £1000!

there is one for sale in wildwoods here in the uk for £1000. i looked and thought about getting it because it was a nice looking fish but then i noticed the price and i felt my heart skip a beat.

My wallet ran and hid when i saw that one last time i was there. Always liked them but don't think i could justify that sort of money on a fish despite how impresive it looked.

I thinkk its from German. Pollution almost wipe them out. I think they were banned from export. Thts why getting one is so hard and pricey.
